Massachusetts General Laws Part I. Administration of the Government (Ch. 1-182) Ch. 118, § 17

The department shall require unverified applicants for cash assistance for a dependent under transitional aid to families with dependent children to provide proof of income and assets. For the purposes of this section, an unverified applicant shall mean an applicant who has not provided the required information about citizenship or immigration status.
