Massachusetts General Laws Part I. Administration of the Government (Ch. 1-182) Ch. 111, § 6E

The department shall collect and report data on law enforcement-related injuries and deaths. The commissioner shall promulgate regulations necessary to implement this section, including, but not limited to, protocols and procedures for the reporting of law enforcement-related injuries and deaths to the department by physicians and other licensed health care professionals.
