Any municipal township of this state is hereby authorized and shall be entitled to purchase and acquire for a cemetery or burial ground any quantity of land not exceeding five acres in any one tract or lot of any unsold school lands situated in this state, and shall acquire title to the same according to the method and procedure prescribed for securing sites for schoolhouses on school lands in chapter 122 of the Session Laws of 1876 1: Provided, That such tract or lot shall be situate on one of the boundary lines of the section or any quarter section thereof.
