Kansas Statutes Chapter 47. Livestock and Domestic Animals § 47-1724. Unlawful to purchase from person not licensed or permitted

(a) It shall be unlawful for any person to knowingly purchase a dog or a cat for the purpose of resale to another from a person required to be licensed or permitted under public law 91-579, 7 U.S.C. § 2131 et seq., or K.S.A. 47-1701 et seq., and amendments thereto, or both, if that person is not so licensed or permitted.

(b) It shall be unlawful for licensees to knowingly sell to out-of-state distributors, animal distributors or pet shops operating within the state who are not permitted or licensed in accordance with the Kansas pet animal act.
