Law enforcement officers appointed by such airport authority shall have the power and authority of police officers on property owned, managed or controlled by the airport authority to enforce state laws, county resolutions and rules and regulations adopted by the airport authority. Every officer appointed by the airport authority shall, while on duty, wear and publicly display a badge of office.
