Any cemetery association or company now incorporated or hereafter incorporated under the laws of the state of Kansas is hereby authorized, at a meeting publicly advertised for the purpose for at least thirty days, by a majority of the stock or shares present, to place the management and control of its property and affairs under a board of directors or trustees, as provided in its charter, to be appointed by the governing body of an incorporated city within or adjoining the township in which its principal plat or grounds are located, or to be appointed by the township board of such township.
