§ 2. Local pretrial services agencies may be independent divisions of the circuit courts accountable to the chief judge or his designee for program activities. The agencies shall be supervised by a program director appointed by the chief judge and removable for cause. The chief judge or his designee shall have the authority to hire, terminate or discipline local pretrial services personnel on recommendation of the program director.
