§ 5-10. Original Assessments--Assessment Roll as Prima Facie Evidence. The assessment roll shall constitute the claim of the commissioners on behalf of the district against the several tracts of land and other property and, when offered and admitted into evidence, shall make out a prima facie case on behalf of the district on all issues as to the amounts of benefits, damages and compensation. If admitted into evidence, it shall not be necessary to read the assessment roll to the jury in order for them to take the assessment roll with them to the jury room when they retire for their deliberations.
