§ 2.6. Establishment of authority and completion of corporate record. If a majority of the votes cast upon the question of the adoption of this Act and the establishment of an Airport Authority shall be in favor of the same, the inhabitants thereof shall be deemed to have accepted the provisions of this Act, and the same shall thence forth be deemed an organized Airport Authority under this Act, having the name stated in said petition or such name as may be provided by ordinance in accordance with Section 12 of this Act. Within 90 days after the results of such election have been so determined, the said Board of Commissioners of the authority shall cause a certified copy of such order to be recorded in the office of the recorder of each county within which the Authority is situated and in the office of the Secretary of State, and the Secretary of State shall thereupon issue a certificate of incorporation to such Authority. Such requirement of filing is directory and failure to file within apt time shall not vitiate such organization.
