§ 2.5. Where territory in more than one county. In case the territory is situated in 2 or more counties, then the petition shall be filed in the office of the clerk of the circuit court of the county in which the greater portion of the territory is situated and it shall be the duty of the circuit court of the county to set the petition for hearing, and to do the other acts above required to be performed and to cause the order determining and declaring results of the election to be filed in the records of the circuit court and a certified copy thereof shall be filed with the clerk of the circuit court of such other county or counties, who shall cause the same to be filed in the records of the circuit court of such county or counties.
