§ 235-25. Board members; vacancy in office. Members of the Board shall hold office until their respective successors have been appointed and qualified. In case of a failure to qualify within the time required, or of abandonment of office, or in case of death, conviction of a felony, permanent removal of residence from beyond the boundaries of the metropolitan area, or removal from office, the office of such member of the Board shall become vacant. Each vacancy shall be filled for the unexpired term in the same manner as provided by statute for filling a vacancy in the office of Village President or Village Trustee.
