§ 12-4.13e. Summer EBT Program.
(a) Subject to federal approval, the Department of Human Services may establish and participate in the federal Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer Program for Children, which may be referred to as the Summer EBT Program.
(b) The Summer EBT Program Fund is established as a federal trust fund in the State treasury. The fund is established to receive moneys from the federal government for the Summer EBT Program. Subject to appropriation, moneys in the Summer EBT Program Fund shall be expended by the Department of Human Services only for those purposes permitted under the federal Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer Program for Children.
(c) The Department of Human Services is authorized to adopt any rules, including emergency rules, necessary to implement the provisions of this Section.
