§ 8.6. Appropriations for the operation and maintenance of State garages including the servicing and repair of all automotive equipment owned or controlled by the State of Illinois, the purchase of necessary supplies, equipment and accessories for automotive use, the purchase of public liability insurance covering drivers of motor vehicles owned or controlled by the State of Illinois, the design, purchase, installation, operation, and maintenance of electric vehicle charging infrastructure and associated improvements to any property owned or controlled by the State of Illinois, and all other expenses incident to the operation and maintenance of the State garages are payable from the State Garage Revolving Fund. Any money received by a State agency from a third party as payment for damages to or destruction of a State vehicle and deposited into the State Garage Revolving Fund shall be utilized by the Department of Central Management Services for the benefit of that agency to repair or replace, in whole or in part, the damaged vehicle. All contracts let under the provisions of this Act shall be awarded in accordance with the applicable requirements of the Illinois Purchasing Act.
