§ 12. Error Notification and Correction Procedure. It is the duty and responsibility of the Illinois State Police to maintain accurate and complete criminal history record information and to correct or update such information after determination by audit, individual review and challenge procedures, or by other verifiable means, that it is incomplete or inaccurate. Except as may be required for a longer period of time by Illinois law, the Illinois State Police shall notify a requester if a subsequent disposition of conviction or a subsequent modification of conviction information has been reported to the Illinois State Police within 30 days of responding to the requester.
