§ 10. Authorized curriculum. An educational consortium established under this Act shall develop and implement a curriculum that offers one or more courses that a student at an institution of higher learning participating in the consortium may enroll in for academic credit from that institution. The course or courses shall be offered in disciplines normally associated with young people, their families, or the criminal justice system, and as part of each such course the student shall be required to provide adult mentoring and leadership to community youth during informal, safe opportunities organized by and in the local communities as part of their youth crime prevention programs.
