1. Child support services may periodically initiate a review of support orders meeting the conditions in section 252H.12 in accordance with the following:
a. The right to any ongoing child support obligation is currently assigned to the state due to the receipt of public assistance.
b. The support order does not already include provisions for medical support.
c. The review is otherwise necessary to comply with the Act.
2. Child support services may periodically initiate a request to a child support agency of another state or to a foreign country to conduct a review of a support order when the right to any ongoing child or medical support obligation due under the order is currently assigned to the state of Iowa or if the order does not include provisions for medical support.
3. Child support services shall adopt rules establishing criteria to determine the appropriateness of initiating a review.
4. Child support services shall initiate reviews under this section in accordance with the Act.
