1. A kinship caregiver shall not provide child foster care unless the kinship caregiver has been granted approval under this section.
2. A kinship caregiver shall apply for approval by submitting a completed application to the department on a form furnished by the department.
3. The department, after notice and opportunity for an evidentiary hearing, may deny an application for approval or continued approval if the applicant or approved kinship caregiver violates this chapter or rules adopted pursuant to this chapter.
