A nutrition and health promotion program shall be administered by the department, in accordance with the requirements of the federal Act, 1 including congregate and home-delivered nutrition programs, nutrition screening, nutrition education, nutrition counseling, and evidence-based health promotion programs to promote health and well-being, reduce food insecurity, promote socialization, and maximize independence of older individuals.
