Iowa Code Title III. Public Services and Regulation [Chs. 80-122C] § 89.5. Rules--records

1. The director shall investigate and record the cause of any boiler explosion that may occur in the state, the loss of life, injuries sustained, and estimated loss of property, if any;  and such other data as may be of benefit in preventing a recurrence of similar explosions.

2. The director shall keep a complete and accurate record of the name of the owner or user of each steam boiler or other equipment subject to this chapter, giving a full description of the equipment, including the type, dimensions, age, condition, the amount of pressure allowed, and the date when last inspected.
