If an insured who has reached his or her 64th birthday but who is not yet 65 years of age pays an annual or semiannual premium that would otherwise pay for coverage beyond his or her 65th birthday, such person shall be entitled to an appropriate refund of unearned premium from the insurer in the event that coverage terminates or is reduced upon the insured's attainment of age 65.
