Connecticut General Statutes Title 29. Public Safety and State Police § 29-307b. Notice to water companies of the presence or elimination of hazardous material

(a) Each employer shall provide the notice of the presence or elimination of hazardous material in his establishment required under section 29-307a to any water company that owns or maintains well fields or reservoirs on the watershed where the establishment is located, provided the water company submits a written request for such notice. Notwithstanding the provisions of this section, any employer reporting pursuant to the Superfund Amendments and Authorization Act of 1986, P.L. 99-499,  1 shall not be required to provide notice under this section if the list of hazardous materials required to be reported under said act is as inclusive as the list required under said section 29-307a.

(b) As used in this section, “water company” means a water company supplying water to one thousand or more persons or to two hundred fifty or more customers, and “employer” and “hazardous material” have the same meanings as provided in section 29-307a.
