California Code, Public Contract Code - PCC § 10383.1

The department shall cooperate with the federal government and its agencies in securing the expeditious and equitable distribution of surplus personal property of the federal government, excepting food commodities, to eligible institutions in California, assist those institutions in securing that property, and do all things necessary to the execution of its powers and duties as the state agency for the distribution of federal personal surplus property, excepting food commodities, in accordance with subdivision (j) of Section 203 of the Federal Property and Administrative Services Act of 1949   1, as amended.
