Arizona Revised Statutes Title 15. Education § 15-769. Appropriation and apportionment; approval of program

A. Except as provided in this section, any pupil who is a child with a disability shall be included in the entitlement to state aid computed as provided in chapter 9, article 5 of this title  1 and apportionment made as provided in § 15-973.

B. A district may budget using the group B weight for a homebound child with a disability if the educational program meets the minimum standards established by the state board of education. For purposes of computing the base support level, a school district shall not classify a pupil in more than one category of disability.

C. The appropriations and apportionment as provided in chapter 9, article 5 of this title shall not be granted to the governing board of a school district or county school superintendent unless the school district or county complies with this article and the conditions and standards prescribed by the superintendent of public instruction pursuant to rules of the state board of education for pupil identification and placement pursuant to §§ 15-766 and 15-767.

D. If a pupil with a group B disability does not receive special education instructional services but receives at least one ancillary service, the pupil shall be considered a special education pupil for the group B funding. If the category of disability has both a resource and self-contained weight, the pupil shall be classified as in a resource program. For the purposes of this subsection, “ancillary service” means one of the following:
