A. The Arizona board of regents may provide for payment of annual salaries of any person appointed or employed as provided in § 15-1626, subsection A, paragraph 2, over a twelve month pay period pursuant to agreement between such person and the board.
B. The Arizona board of regents shall require institutions under its jurisdiction as part of payroll reporting procedures to identify and report hours of sick leave earned by any person appointed or employed as provided in § 15-1626, subsection A, paragraph 2, and absences on account of sickness. Compensation paid to employees on account of sickness shall be so identified in the accounting records of the institution.
