Notwithstanding the provisions of § 38-431.01, subsection A, meetings of advisory committees to the board involving student records may be held in executive session. A student whose records are to be considered may request that the meeting be held as a public meeting in which case the meeting pertaining to such student's records shall not be in executive session.
