The department shall establish and maintain free public employment offices in the number and in the places which may be necessary for the administration of this chapter and for the purposes of performing functions which are within the scope of the Wagner-Peyser Act, 1 as amended. The provisions of the Wagner-Peyser Act, 1 as amended, are accepted by this state, and the department is designated the agency of this state for the purposes of that Act. All money received by this state under that Act shall be paid into the employment security administration fund and shall be expended solely for the maintenance of the state system of public employment offices.
