(a) Employment described in AS 23.10.070, AS 23.10.071, AS 33.30.201, and AS 33.30.191 is exempt from the requirements of AS 23.10.066--AS 23.10.068.
(b) Employment described in AS 23.10.055(a)(1)--(8) and (10)--(18) is exempt from the requirements of AS 23.10.066--23.10.068. However, notwithstanding any other provisions of this chapter, employment described under AS 23.10.055(a)(9) shall be covered by the paid sick leave requirements of AS 23.10.066--23.10.068.
(c) An “employee” as defined by 45 U.S.C. 351(d) who is subject to the federal Railroad Unemployment Insurance Act, 45 U.S.C. 351 et seq. shall also be exempt from the requirements of AS 23.10.066--AS 23.10.068.
