(a) Any officer, other than a member of the Prudential Committee, may resign at any time by giving written notice to the Prudential Committee. Unless otherwise specified in the notice, resignation shall take effect on the receipt of the notice. Acceptance of the notice is not necessary to make it effective.
(b) A vacancy occurring in any District office, other than a member of the Prudential Committee, caused by death, resignation, removal, or incapacity of an officer to carry out his or her duties shall be filled within 30 days by the Prudential Committee. The officer appointed by the Prudential Committee shall serve until the next annual meeting.
(c) Any officer, other than a member of the Prudential Committee, may be removed by a two-thirds vote of the members of the Prudential Committee if the Committee believes that removal will serve the best interests of the Fire District.
