Vermont Statutes Title 13. Crimes and Criminal Procedure, § 12. Criminal use of anesthetics

A person who administers, attempts to administer, or causes to be administered to a person, chloroform, sulphuric ether, or any anesthetic agent, with intent to commit a crime or offense, or who secretly commits or attempts to commit a crime or offense against a person or the property of one who is rendered insensible or unconscious or incapable of resistence  1 by such anesthetic agent, shall be imprisoned for life or for not less than three years.
