Virginia Code Title 38.2. Insurance § 38.2-4309. Investments

A health maintenance organization may invest in any Category 1 investment as defined in Chapter 14 of this title or any other investment the Commission may permit pursuant to provisions in Chapter 14 (§ 38.2-1400 et seq.) of this title. For investments made prior to July 1, 1998, by a health maintenance organization which is licensed on and after June 30, 1998, July 1, 1998 may be deemed the date of investment.
