(a) The counsellor may not have a direct or indirect interest in a utility company regulated under this title, its parent, or its subsidiary companies, corporations, or cooperatives or a utility competitor, utility supplier, or other entity affected in a manner other than by the setting of rates for that class of customer.
(b) The prohibition under Subsection (a) applies during the period of the counsellor's service.
