The railroad commission may require a person or corporation that owns, controls, or operates a pipeline subject to this chapter to make to the commission a sworn report of any matter relating to the business of the person or corporation that the commission determines to be pertinent, including:
(1) the total quantity of gas distributed by the pipelines;
(2) the total quantity of gas held in storage;
(3) the source of supply of gas;
(4) the number of wells from which the person or corporation draws its supply;
(5) the amount of pipeline pressure maintained; and
(6) the amount and character and description of the equipment used.
