(a) The department shall send a certified copy of the record of the department's action suspending a nonresident's operating privilege under Subchapter F 1 or under Sections 601.332, 601.333, and 601.334 to the official in charge of issuing driver's licenses and vehicle registrations of the state or province of Canada in which the nonresident resides.
(b) Subsection (a) applies only if the law of the other state or the province provides for action similar to the action required by Section 601.009.
