(a) In addition to the information authorized to be released under Section 521.045, on receipt of a written request and payment of a $6 fee, the department may disclose that information and information regarding each reported motor vehicle moving violation, as defined by department rule, resulting in a traffic law conviction and each motor vehicle collision in which the individual received a citation, by date and location, within the three years preceding the date of the request, to a person who:
(1) is eligible to receive the information under Chapter 730; and
(2) submits to the department the individual's driver's license number or the individual's full name and date of birth.
(b) If the department receives requests for information under this section in quantities of 100 or more from a single person at one time and on data processing request forms acceptable to the department, the department may reduce the fee to $5 for each individual request.
