(a) An authority may not purchase or lease a motor vehicle that is not capable of using compressed natural gas or another alternative fuel the use of which results in comparably lower emissions of oxides of nitrogen, volatile organic compounds, carbon monoxide, or particulates or combinations of those materials.
(b) At least 50 percent of the fleet vehicles operated by an authority must be capable of using compressed natural gas or another alternative fuel.
(c) Repealed by Acts 2005, 79th Leg., ch. 864, § 5.
