(a) Except as provided by Subsection (b), an election to withdraw from an authority ordered under this subchapter must be held on the first applicable uniform election date occurring after the expiration of 12 calendar months after the date on which the governing body orders the election.
(b) A unit of election that is located in an authority consisting of one subregion governed by a subregional board created under Subchapter O 1 shall hold the election on the applicable first uniform election date occurring after the expiration of 45 days after the date the governing body orders the election.
(c) The governing body shall give notice of the election to the executive committee of the authority, the Texas Department of Transportation, and the comptroller immediately on calling the election.
(d) At the election the ballot shall be printed to provide for voting for or against the proposition: “Shall the (name of authority) be continued in (name of unit of election)?”
(e) The election shall be held in the regular precincts and at the regular voting places.
