(a) The board shall employ a general manager to serve as the chief administrative officer of the authority. The board may delegate to the general manager the full authority to manage and operate the affairs of the authority subject only to the orders of the board.
(b) The duties of the general manager include:
(1) administering board orders;
(2) coordinating with state, federal, and local agencies;
(3) overseeing development of authority plans and programs; and
(4) performing other duties assigned by the board.
(c) The board shall determine the terms of office and employment and the compensation of the general manager.
(d) The board may discharge the general manager by a majority vote of the board. (Acts 76th Leg., R.S., Ch. 1029, Sec. 3.02.)
