Texas Special District Local Laws Code - SDLL § 8815.056. Vacancy in Office of Director

A vacancy in the office of director for a director precinct shall be filled by appointment by the governing bodies of the member districts that are located within the director precinct for which the vacancy occurred. A vacancy in the office of director for an at-large position shall be filled by appointment by the governing bodies of all of the member districts. The appointment process shall follow the procedures of Section 8815.055. The board may establish dates different from those specified by Sections 8815.055(g) and (h), but the date for the board's submission of the voting results to each member district may not be later than the 120th day after the date the vacancy occurs.
