Texas Special District Local Laws Code - SDLL § 7982.201. Petition Required for Financing Recreational Facility or Improvement by Assessment

(a) The district may finance a recreational facility or improvement, including an improvement project under Section 7982.105, with assessments on residential or commercial property or both residential and commercial property under this subchapter, but only if:

(b) The petition must be signed by the owners of a majority of the assessed value of real property in the district subject to assessment according to the most recent certified tax appraisal roll for the county.
