Texas Special District Local Laws Code - SDLL § 5010.0203. Placing Candidate on Ballot

(a) An application for a place on the ballot must be:

(1) filed with the secretary of the board or another person designated by the board; and

(2) signed by:

(A) the candidate; or

(B) 10 or more qualified voters of the district.

(b) The filing period for an application for a place on the ballot is the same as provided by Chapter 143, Election Code.
