(a) After the district has paid all district debts and has disposed of all district money and other assets as prescribed by this subchapter, the board shall file a written report with the Commissioners Court of Freestone County summarizing the board's actions in dissolving the district. The report must include a summary of the district's debts.
(b) Not later than the 10th day after the date the Commissioners Court of Freestone County receives the report, the commissioners court shall:
(1) determine whether the board has fulfilled the requirements of this subchapter; and
(2) if the commissioners court determines the board has fulfilled its duties, enter an order to that effect.
(c) On entry of an order under Subsection (b)(2), the directors are discharged from liability under their bonds. (Acts 68th Leg., R.S., Ch. 1055, Sec. 9.08(e).)
