(a) The board shall elect a president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer at the first meeting of the board in March of each year or at any time necessary to fill a vacancy.
(b) The board shall elect the president and vice president from among the directors. The president shall serve for a term of one year.
(c) The offices of secretary and treasurer:
(1) may be held by one person; and
(2) are not required to be held by a director.
(d) The board may appoint as assistant board secretary one or more persons who are not directors. (Acts 64th Leg., R.S., Ch. 36, Secs. 4(b) (part), (d) (part).)
