(a) It is a ground for removal from the board that a director violates a prohibition established by Section 1084.053(b). A director may be removed for the violation in accordance with the procedures provided by Subchapter B, Chapter 87, Local Government Code, for removing a county official.
(b) The validity of a board action is not affected by the fact that the action is taken when a ground for removal of a director exists. (Acts 59th Leg., R.S., Ch. 84, Secs. 4(a-3), (a-4), (a-5).)
