Texas Special District Local Laws Code - SDLL § 1067.152. Notice; Adoption of Budget

(a) Not later than the 30th day before the first day of each fiscal year, the board shall give notice of a public hearing on the proposed budget. The notice must be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the district one time at least 10 days before the date set for the hearing.

(b) The board shall adopt a budget by acting on the budget proposed by the chief executive officer.

(c) The budget is effective only after adoption by the board. (Acts 59th Leg., R.S., Ch. 477, Secs. 6(b), 19(a) (part).)
