Texas Special District Local Laws Code - SDLL § 1016.054. Qualifications for Office

A person may not be elected or appointed as a director unless the person is:

(1) a district resident;

(2) a qualified voter;

(3) a freeholder;  and

(4) at least 18 years of age when elected or appointed.
