Except as provided in Subchapter B of this chapter, 1 possession of a wild game bird, wild game animal, or other species of protected wildlife,
whether dead or alive, during a time when the hunting of the animal, bird, or species
is prohibited is prima facie evidence of the guilt of the person in possession.
