Texas Government Code - GOV'T § 614.171. Definitions

In this subchapter:

(1) “Law enforcement agency” means the Department of Public Safety, Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Parks and Wildlife Department, and the office of the attorney general.

(2) “Law enforcement officer” means a person who is a commissioned peace officer employed by a law enforcement agency.
