(a) On the written request of a provider who requests an informal resolution meeting held under Section 544.0304 or 544.0506(b), the commission shall, at no expense to the provider, provide for the meeting to be recorded and for the recording to be made available to the provider. The commission may not record an informal resolution meeting unless the commission receives a written request from a provider.
(b) Notwithstanding Section 544.0259(e) and except as provided by this section:
(1) an informal resolution meeting held under Section 544.0304 or 544.0506(b) is confidential; and
(2) any information or materials the office of inspector general, including the office's employees or agents, obtains during or in connection with an informal resolution meeting, including a recording made under Subsection (a), are privileged, confidential, and not subject to disclosure under Chapter 552 or any other means of legal compulsion for release, including disclosure, discovery, or subpoena.
