An individual may not serve as ombudsman in an ombudsman program if the individual or the individual’s spouse:
(1) is employed by or participates in the management of a business entity or other organization receiving funds from the commission;
(2) owns or controls, directly or indirectly, any interest in a business entity or other organization receiving funds from the commission; or
(3) is required to register as a lobbyist under Chapter 305 because of the individual's activities for compensation on behalf of a profession related to the commission's operation.
