(a) The following persons are immune from liability for good faith conduct under this chapter or Chapter 841, Health and Safety Code:
(1) a member of the board of directors;
(2) a member of the executive board;
(3) the chief of the unit;
(4) the counselor serving the unit; and
(5) any other employee or officer of the unit.
(b) A court shall immediately dismiss any action asserting a claim against a person described by Subsection (a) that arose from the person's good faith conduct.
(c) This section does not affect a defense, immunity, or jurisdictional bar available to a person described by Subsection (a).
